In 2015 Petter Fornes Norwegian ( And Scandinavian ) champion in home brewing with beer Bahrain Weisse. True to tradition the winning beer was brewed in Nøgne Ø in large scale. Bahrain Weisse is a bright and alcohol duty sour wheat beer that is fermented with Petters sourdough culture originating from Bahrain. Nøgne AZ, the uncompromising brewery, took gladly accepted the challenge with any nontraditional brewing process. To recreate winning recipe this beer brewed with dekoksjonsmesking, hops added only in the mash, no boiling of the wort and not at least that was what unleashed the wild yeast and lactic acid bacteria.
