Sour/Wild Ale
Sour beers have been a bit of a point of contention for some of our Craft BeerAdvent® Calendar fans past and present, but without question, sour beers are not a trend or a fad in the craft brewing scene.
We decided to go out to a far away place for this "far out" sour IPA, the first ever calendar beer from 8 Wired Brewing in New Zealand. This has all the appearances of a Pacific Coast IPA indeed, golden colour, and some fragrant tropical aromas, and was soured beautifully, very clean in the finish, very little bitterness, and really is quite refreshing.
